Yarn Weight(4) Medium Weight/Worsted Weight and Aran (16-20 stitches to 4 inches)

Throw Measures:   46” x 55”

RED HEART Super Saver:   
3 skeins 0311 White,                                    
1 skein each 0512 Turqua, 0774 Light Raspberry                                            

Gauge: 4 rows – 3”
Fan Shell, Ripple (9 dcs) – 4 ¾”

Special Stitch: Fan Shell – (dc, ch 1) 4 times, dc) in space or stitch as indicated in instructions.

Note:  Pattern is worked in multiples of 14 plus 4.

Row 1 (RS): With white ch 144, dc in 4th ch from hook, *dc in each of next 3 chs, skip 3 chs, Fan Shell in next ch, skip 3 chs, dc in each of next 3 dcs**, 3 dc in next ch, repeat from * across ending last repeat at **, 2 dc in last ch, turn.
Row 2: Ch 3, dc in first dc, *dc in each of next 3 dcs, (sc, ch 3) in each of next 3 ch 1 spaces, sc in next ch 1 space, skip 2 dcs, dc in each of next 3 dcs,** 3 dc in next dc, repeat from * across ending last repeat at **, 2 dc in 3rd  ch of turning ch, turn.
Row 3: Ch 3, dc in first dc, *dc in each of next 3 dcs, skip next ch 3 loop, Fan Shell in next ch 3 loop, skip next (ch 3 loop, sc and dc) dc in each of next 3 dcs**, 3 dc in next dc, repeat from * across ending last repeat at **, 2 dcs in 3rd ch of turning ch, turn.

Repeat Rows 2 and 3 for a total of 70 rows as follows:
 (6 rows white, 4 rows turqua, 6 rows white, 4 rows light raspberry) three times, 6 rows white,
4 rows turqua

EDGING
With white work along right side edge start at bottom side edge (sc, ch 3, sc) in each dc across and fasten off.
Work along left side edge start at top side edge (sc, ch 3, sc) in each dc across and fasten off.

This Nautical Ocean Breeze Crochet Throw is more appropriate for Fourth of July celebration. Red, white, and blue are typical American colors. It can come in different shades, dark or medium or light reds, whites, and blues. It's up to your preference. Cheers.

I did this pattern in red, white, and blue for my daughter's dorm room! I also added a double-crochet border all the way around it. It turned out beautiful and my daughter loves it!
