It is amazing that complications such as this just emit fun and happiness. How can you not be happy around an article such as this. Now I am a fan of granny squares and I thought I knew everything about them. This is a new concept for me and I am glad that I ran across the pattern.

I am such a plain Jane but when I see a colorful patterned design such as this, I stop and take a long stare. The combination of colors is so cheery and I can not help but to make one. As for my home decor, this would certainly stick out like a sore thumb. However, for my sister, this would be right at home.

I have not made this Exquisite Granny Stripe Crochet Blanket, but have it on my must make list. I love the look of this one and for US crocheters I think it would be best to print this one out and put in the stitch change. This is in UK terms ok, so first row is double crochet, then after that we switch to treble crochet. For US peeps, work your first row in sc, then switch to dc. To make it much better to have the right stitches. The pattern is well written and so easy, it should work up quickly. Thank you so much for sharing this crochet blanket pattern.

This is so beautiful. I was just looking at the pattern and the author is giving us the liberty to choose our own colors. Of course you may always copy her work exactly that's no problem. This will make for a special gift to someone close to our heart and also great for pur own personal use. Thanks for the free pattern.

This is down right gorgeous. Who would think a simple basic crochet stitch could turn out something this pretty. It's easy and yet looks like you really labored over it. I wish I had found this type of pattern years ago when I first started to crochet. Thank you for sharing this great pattern .

love the fun and good cheer this rug springs to mind. I think we could all do with a bit of that.

Love this afghan. But, as a beginner, Im lost on the border. Any chance you could post instructions for it soon ?

I realize this is a very old post. But if anyone else is wondering about the border, it looks like she did sc and picot st.

Near the end of the pattern you will find this sentence - And the Granny Stripe Ta-dah post is here (this post includes info/pattern details about the edging). I followed the link and found the instructions for the border. Good luck. )
