This pattern is not free.

What happened to the "save pattern" button? Can't find it on any of your sites. Bummer! Connie

Hi CNSparks, The location of the button has changed. It is now next to the row of social media buttons below the content, above the You May Also Like section. It is a grey plus button. I hope that helps! --Kaitlin, AFCAP Editor

I found the section for "Save Pattern" but there is basket full of balls of yarn there, no "Save" though.

I have not made it yet but the instructions look easy to follow. It is an interesting pattern and good for using left over yarn. It really will turn out quite colorful. I like learning new stitches and this is no exception. Just the basics were shown but that is all you need. Thank you.

I really like the look of this Clamshell Crochet Afghan. The written pattern with great pictures are easy to follow. I made a swatch and love the look of the clamshells. I have a question though, the pattern is written in British terms, so what would happen if this was made using the stitches as if the British (American) terms were the same? Such has doing a Half Treble instead of the Half Double. I'm going to try it and see, it just seems interesting to me for some reason. Any ways, I love this pattern and I think it would be a great way to use up your scrap/left over yarn balls. Thank you so much for sharing this free crochet pattern.

I thought I've pinned this before but not yet. This is another good project to make. Here's the pattern that shows a step-by-step procedure with pictures http//sandra-cherryheart.blogspot.co.uk/2013/04/cl == amshell-tutorial.html. This is so challenging to make.

I have made this up to the end of row 3 and have 3 left over stitches instead of 2 like the pattern says. So I tried it again and counted the stitches perfectly and still have 3 stitches left over. I can't bear to rip it out again so I think I will do 2 slip stitches together then I will have the 2 that the pattern states. Ugh. Has anyone else had this problem at the end of row 3?

Love it! Can you please tell me how you did the edging?

Very nice pattern but it would be so much easier to make if the instructions were written in text form.
