While this is a pretty afghan, I do not have access to this yarn, more anything similar to it.

Love the colors used in this Harlequin Blanket. They are bright, vibrant, full of energy. Yellow represents the sun which is the ultimate source of life and energy. I haven't seen the pattern and I'm intrigued.

When I see the materials list for a project like this and there are multiple skeins of yarn required I get mixed feelings. I am aware of the self striping and variegated yarns available now a days and they make projects so much easier. However, to get something of this magnitude some times you just have to change up the yarn yourself. This beautiful harlequin blanket will be well worth the weaving in of yarns.

This is truly a mesmerizing blanket. I was hoping that I could achieve this beautiful colorful masterpiece using this new self stripping or variegated yarn but that will not be happening. This designer went old school. There are a whopping 8 colors here. Well, by the finished design here it would be worth it.

Oh I love the look of this Harlequin Blanket, the bright colors remind me of a beautiful sun set. The pattern is well written and easy to understand, and there is a good chart to help. I like the look of the Catherines Wheel stitch with these colors. This will make a great baby shower gift. I'm looking forward to making this one in a soft yarn. Thank you so much for sharing this free crochet pattern.
