A lot of times the colors of a design catch my attention for projects. This is one of those projects. The colors are pretty but not overwhelming and would easily be a nice addition to any rooms decor. I think this would be a great gift or a treasure to keep for yourself.

Beautiful colors for a simple design will and can make all the difference. This is a single piece that expands from the center out and if you decide to use different colors this will still create a striking design. Thanks for posting this Red Heart pattern.

i want to make this Golden Years Crochet blanket for a friend or friends who are in their early senior years. This is perfect to display in their living room and to snuggle in while watching TV or just having fun with the family. Thanks for having the pattern just right in front of the page.

This version has new colors. Last time I viewed this pattern it called for discontinued colors.

I contacted Red Heart via coats.com and received feedback from a Ann Blalock who provided the information. According to her, rounds 18-20 with D should repeat rounds 9-10. The pattern number in their files for the Golden Years afghan is LW4707. Happy crocheting! Libby (cmueller7138@gmail.com)

Rounds 18-20 are a total of 3 rounds. Rounds 9-10 are only 2 rounds. I agree with aeakrs 2313474 the rounds appear to be off.
