  • RED HEART® Soft®: 6 balls 4601 Off White MC; 3 balls each 4614 Black A and 9440 Light Grey B.
  • Crochet hook: 6mm [US J-10]
  • Large-eyed, blunt-tipped tapestry needle

Size: Throw measures 45” x 52” [114.3 x 132 cm] including edging

Gauge: 15 sts = 4” [10 cm]; 4 sc rows = 2 ½” [6.4 cm]. CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size hook to obtain the gauge.

Abbreviations: MC = main color; A = Color A; B = Color B; ch = chain; cm = centimeters; MB = make bobble; mm = millimeters; sc = single crochet; st(s) = stitch(es); [ ] = work directions in brackets the number of times specified.

Special Stitch: MB (make bobble): Change to bobble color in last loop of last sc, (yo, draw up a loop) 3 times in next sc, draw MC through all loops on hook.

Note: When working with 2 colors, carry and work over color not in use.

Row 1 (Right side): With MC , ch 150, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each remaining ch across, turn—149 sc.

Row 2 (Wrong side): Ch 1, sc in each sc across, turn—149 sc.

Row 3: Repeat Row 2, changing to A at end of row, turn.

Row 4: With A , ch 1, sc in first sc, [ch 1, skip 1 sc, sc in next sc] across, turn—75 sc, 74 ch-1 sps.

Row 5: Ch 1, sc in first sc, sc in next ch-1 space, [ch 1, skip next sc, sc in next ch-1 space] across, sc in last sc, changing to MC in last sc, turn. Fasten off A .

Rows 193–194: Ch 1, sc in each sc across, turn—149 sc. Fasten off at end of last row.

Edging

First Side Row 1 (Right side): Join MC with slip st at bottom right corner, ch 1, working in ends of rows, sc in evenly across side of throw, turn.

Row 2 (Wrong side): Ch 1, sc in each sc across, turn.

Row 3 (Right side): Ch 1, sc in each sc across. Fasten off.

2nd Side Edging

Row 1 (Right side): Join MC with slip st at top left corner, ch 1, working in ends of rows, sc in evenly across side of throw, turn.

Row 2 (Wrong side): Ch 1, sc in each sc across, turn.

Row 3 (Right side): Ch 1, sc in each sc across. Fasten off.

Throw Edging

Round 1 (Right side): With right side facing, join B with slip st in first sc of last row of either Side Edging, ch 1, sc in same sc, *[ch 1, skip 1 sc, sc in next sc] across to next corner, work (sc, ch 1, sc) next corner to ease Throw Edging*; repeat between * around, join with slip st in top of first sc, turn.

Round 2 (Wrong side): With wrong side facing, (slip st, ch 1, sc) in next ch-1 space, *[ch 1, skip next sc, sc in next ch-1 space] around to next corner, working (sc, ch 1, sc) in corner ch-1 space; repeat from * around, ending with ch 1, join with slip st in top of first sc. Fasten off B .

Round 3: Join A with slip st in any ch-1 space, ch 1, sc in same ch-1 space, *[ch 1, skip next sc, sc in next ch-1 space] around to next corner, (sc, ch 1, sc) in corner ch-1 space; repeat from * around, join with slip st in top of first sc, turn.

Round 4: Using A, work same as Round 2. Fasten off A.

FINISHING:
Weave in all loose ends.
