"The join is tricky until you get it down and then it's a "I coulda had a V-8" moment. One advantageous thing about this project is that it's done in panels so you can have one at home, one in a take along bag, and one at work for your break time. I had 3 panels going at any given time, which was handy because I was going through physical therapy at the time, which meant a great deal of waiting. I used DROPs Safran and a 3.5 mm hook for my project and I gifted the afghan to my brother and sister-in-law for their 1-yr anniversary. They were astonished at the intricacy of it. That was funny to me because after looking at it for so long it didn't look fancy to me any more since I knew how it was assembled. Sis-in-law was determined that it was a "look with your eyes, not with your hands" item, but I told her it was meant to be used and if it got worn out I could always hook another one! I did Not divulge that it took me a year to make it, haha. I mostly worked on it in our conference room, when it wasn't being used, during my lunch hour. "I have made a few of these using all kinds of yarn. they make up really quick and are really easy. Once you get the hang of it thy it in chunky yarn. Just make sure you have an even number. for the ones I made I bought 16 to 20 for a big blanket"

What a marvelous pattern. It looks very difficult yet after reading thru it, I found it easy to understand. I may change the color of the bottom to match the room it will be used in. I think it will end up a wall hanging instead of a blanket. Thank you for this one.
