Raspberry Road Blanket

"The Raspberry road blanket is a great way to show off your yarns. This blanket is worked in the round and this makes the gradient change even more gradual. The incorporated Jacob’s ladders are a fun little addition to the starshape. The blanket is made with Scheepjes whirl, a gradient yarn. Blocked and finished the blanket measures 104cm (51in) in diameter. The pattern contains instructions on how to create the Jacob's ladders and also a crochet diagram."

I love this Raspberry Road blanket. The combination is fantastic - gray and raspberry. I want to make this afghan. Perfect to display on a living room sofa.

I have just finished making a baby blanket from Herschners that looks just like this, but is a much easier pattern. You don't have to do Jacob's ladders just FDCP and you get the same effect.

Wow what a unique blanket this Raspberry Road Blanket is. I have never tried the Jacobs ladders stitch before so this one should be interesting to do. I really don't understand the written directions for doing the Jacobs ladders? I guess I'll have to see if I can find a video on how to do it. Is there another type of yarn to use for this pattern to get the effect of the color change? I have this on my must make list. Thank you so much for sharing this free crochet pattern.

I love the shape of this blanket. It's very unique and something you don't see every day. Plus, the blending of the colors is very soothing.

The ombre color scheme is so pretty! I love the floral shape with this design as well.
