Create a one-of-a-kind special heirloom when you work up the Delicate Doily Christening Blanket. This crochet lace pattern is a round baby blanket that features lace insets that create a star shaped design. This delicate white lace design features a variegated, colorful border, but you can switch out white yarn for the border and create a special christening blanket for that new addition to your family, and you'll have a family heirloom that they'll cherish for years to come. Even better, this is a beginner-friendly pattern, so anyone can work this up!

My mom made this one for a friend, now I'm going to try it

No wonder it's called a doily blanket because it looks like a huge doily. This Delicate Doily Christening Blanket is so beautiful, any mommy will like to have one for her baby's big day. It is very common to see cotton or terry blankets used in the christening but this one is really one conversation piece. It will be the talk of the occasion and some of the mothers present will actually ask where that beautiful doily blanket came from. I will make this soon, ahead of the queue.
