Cowabunga! This Pizza Party Crochet Snuggle Sack is the perfect crochet blanket pattern for sitting on the couch and watching a movie while enjoying some take out or popcorn. This is an easy blanket pattern to work up, and it's shown in two sizes so adults, you can get in on the fun too! Made with super bulky, bright yarn, this works up quickly, so you'll be enjoying this in no time. Work this up as shown, or switch things up with your toppings so your pizza is more you. Stay super cozy on movie nights when you have your pizza snuggle sack. 

Note: Ch 2 at beg of rows counts as hdc. To join new color, work to last loops on hook of previous color. Yoh with new color, draw through rem loops and proceed with new color.

  • Size U.S. L/11 (8 mm) crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge. Stitch marker.

Pattern

Bottom Crust

  1. With A, ch 3.
    **1st row: (RS). 2 hdc in 3rd ch from hook. Turn. 3 hdc.
    2nd row: Ch 2. 2 hdc in next hdc. 1 hdc in last hdc. Turn. 4 hdc.
    3rd row: Ch 2. 1 hdc in each hdc to end of row. Turn.
    4th row (inc row): Ch 2. 2 hdc in first hdc. 1 hdc in each hdc to last hdc. 2 hdc in last hdc. Turn. 6 hdc.
    Rep last 2 rows, inc 2 hdc every other row to 22 (32) hdc.
    Next 2 rows: Ch 2. 1 hdc in each hdc to end of row. Turn.
    Next row (inc row): Ch 2. 2 hdc in first hdc. 1 hdc in each hdc to last hdc. 2 hdc in last hdc. Turn. Rep last 3 rows, inc 2 hdc every 3rd row to 48 (72) hdc.** Place marker at end of row.
    Next row: Ch 2. 1 hdc in each hdc to end of row. Turn.
    Rep last row until work from marked row measures approx 13" [33 cm].
    Fasten off.

Cheese

  1. With B, ch 3.
    Work from ** to ** as given for Bottom Crust.
    Break B. Join C.
    With C, proceed as follows:
    1st row: (RS). Ch 2. 1 hdc in first hdc. 1 hdc in each of next 3 hdc. (Hdc2tog) twice. 1 hdc in each of next 3 hdc. 2 hdc in next hdc. *2 hdc in next hdc. 1 hdc in each of next 3 hdc. (Hdc2tog) twice. 1 hdc in each of next 3 hdc. 2 hdc in next hdc. Rep from * to end of row. Turn.
    Rep last row twice more.
    Next row: Ch 1. 1 sc in each of first 2 hdc. *1 hdc in each of next 3 hdc. 1 dc in each of next 2 dc. 1 hdc in each of next 3 hdc. 1 sc in each of next 4 hdc. Rep from * to last 10 sts. 1 hdc in each of next 3 hdc. 1 dc in each of next hdc. 1 hdc in each of next 3 hdc. 1 sc in each of last 2 hdc. Break C. Join A. Turn. Place marker on last row.
    With A, proceed as follows:
    Next row: (RS). Ch 2. 1 hdc in each st to end of row. Turn.
    Rep last row until work from marked row measures approx 20" [51 cm]. Fasten off, leaving a long end.
    Fold top edge of crust to meet marked row on RS. Using long end, sew top edge to marked row. Sew side seams of Crust.
    Holding WS tog, join A with sl st to top right corner at Crust. Ch 1.
    Working through both thicknesses, work 1 row of sc to join pieces, changing to B where Cheese begins and working 5 sc in tip of slice. Fasten off.

Toppings

  1. Pepperoni (make 6 for Child, 12 for Adult)
    With C, ch 4.
    1st rnd: 11 dc in 4th ch from hook. Join with sl st to top of ch 3 (counts as dc). 12 dc.
    2nd rnd: Ch 1. 2 sc in first dc. *1 sc in next dc. 2 sc in next dc. Rep from * to last dc. 1 sc in last dc. Join with sl st to first sc. 18 sc.
    Fasten off.

  2. Mushroom (make 6 for Child, 12 for Adult)
    With D, ch 5.
    1st row: 8 tr in 4th ch from hook. Ch 4. Sl st in same sp as tr just worked.
    Stem: Ch 5. 1 hdc in 3rd ch from hook. 1 sc in each of next 2 ch. Sl st in same sp as previous tr worked. Working in rem loops of ch, ch 1. 1 sc in each of next 2 ch. 2 hdc in last ch. Join with sl st to top of first hdc. Fasten off.
    Sew Toppings to Cheese as shown.

Ha ha, these are totally cute. I want to make one of these for myself. Even though I live in the heat of Florida, my husband keeps the a/c so cold that I have to cover with a blanket just to watch TV on the sofa each night. I am gonna make this for sure. Love it.
