This mermaid blanket is so beautiful especially the color combination blue and purple. My granddaughter will definitely like this. It's exciting that even the girl's doll is dressed in a matching mermaid tail. Nice!

I'm having trouble with the fin I get row 1 but row 2 has a turn-4sc 6 hdc and 52dc. Then repeat row2 doesn't that put a decrease on the same side ? Please help me understand.

Here is the original pattern. It may help you:

hi Im having trouble with the decrease fin I get round 1 and I get 41 sc..however round 2 I can not figure out why Im not getting the 21 help!!!

Hi eckrat, I double-checked on this pattern and it looks like Red Heart had a pattern correction for this. I've updated this pattern - it looks like the main things that changed were that final stitch counts for the rows, so I would take another look at those. :) I hope that helps! I don't see anything that is updated..all my sticth counts are the problem in in the Decreasefor fin 2 rows.....row 1 ig et the 43 row 2 for oddler and Adult where my problem comes..I making the toddler version and no way when I do row 2 I go from 43 to 21 stitches.....the udat doesn't correct this...I need to get this figured out since I have to make 4!!! lol

I found the the decrease row you should be doing a sc skip next sc in that pattern and leave out the chain 1 st!

Do you have the pattern for the matching doll version?
