Lilac or purple is one of my favorite colors and this blanket garnered my attention just in browsing the site. I can hardly believe that this is an easy pattern. I will save this to my pattern book and try to make it after I get my current project complete.

It is hard to believe that this is a beginner pattern. Look at all that texture. I guess the front post stitch that lends itself to the texture. The stitch is not hard to master so it is well worth learning a new stitch. Thanks for the beautiful free pattern.

I have not made the blanket yet but the instructions are straightforward. It has an interesting pattern to it and I also like the fact it is done in strips. Makes it easier to take along. A good stash buster as well. I do like the colors in the initial patten though. Subdued and pretty. Thank you.

Oh wow, so pretty and I just LOVE the colors. Everyone in my family just loves afghans, throws, blankets and I already know that this one is going to be very popular, lol! With Fall almost here in South Africa we are soon going to grabbing something to snuggle under in the family room either while just chatting or watching TV.

Pretty! Pretty! Pretty! I really like the patchwork effect the pattern has from the diagonals of rectangles. I thought it was a good idea to stitch the columns since it would get heavy to have it all at once but that heaviness will also keep me warm during the winter. I think I'll try it with a couple colors of white or possibly the sage with rose which are our wedding colors.
