"The Lilly Blanket is a beautiful Tunisian crochet home décor item that is a pleasure to make and a pleasure to use. It features a popular gingham pattern that is crocheted in columns using 2 colours and join as you go technique. This is a fun project for when you would like to work colourwork but not having to have more than 2 balls of yarn on the go at any one time! Skills required Chain, Tunisian crochet technique (alternating forward and return passes), Tunisian simple stitch (tss), Tunisian simple stitch bind-off, blocking. "

Yarn Weight(5) Bulky/Chunky (12-15 stitches for 4 inches)

Crochet GaugeBlocked Gauge:
11 sts x 9 rows = 10 x 10 cm (4” x 4”) over tss

Finished SizeThe final blanket measurements (blocked): 134.5 cm x 127 cm (approx. 53” x 50”)

Materials List

  • Scheepjes Chunky Monkey (100% Acrylic, 22% | Chunky/Bulky | 100 g (3.5 oz) = 116 m (127 yds)), (#2017) Stone 7 skeins (A), (#1708) Petrol 6 skeins (B)
  • Tunisian crochet hook size 6.5 mm (US size K/10) with cable (at least 7.5 cm (3”)) or size to obtain the gauge
  • Tapestry needle
  • Scissors
