Crochet motifs are wonderful for so many crochet projects. When I picked up this book, I was like a kid in a candy store. As soon as I saw "144 circles, hexagons, triangles, squares, and other unexpected shapes" on the cover, I was hooked. The entire book is categorized by the shapes which makes this book user friendly when searching for specific patterns. I paged through the book looking at the detailed pictures and helpful charts for each motif and imagining all of the crochet projects that could use these motifs.

I am amazed at the simplicity of this book and the sheer genius of the spiral notebook design -  the book stays open better this way for easy crocheting. Each page has a different motif with an image, a chart, special stitch instructions, and a written pattern. It doesn't get any easier than this folks.

Speaking of easy, the introduction to this book is great for beginners who are just venturing into the world of crocheting. There is a whole Crochet Vocabulary section that explains everything you need to know before you begin to read patterns. That means there are no surprises when you pick up your hook to start a pattern and you can always go back and look at the vocabulary section. Complete with photo tutorials for basic stitches and reading charts, this book is a wonderful resource for crocheters of all skill levels.
