Mini Waffle Stitch Crochet Baby Blanket

"Love the waffle stitch? Try the mini version! The Mini Waffle Stitch Crochet Baby Blanket is a one-row repeat variation of the classic waffle stitch, and it’s reversible! I love the wonderful texture of this stitch, made so much more pronounced in 100% cotton yarn! Worked in cheery colors, this blanket reminds me of sunny days at the beach. The cotton yarn + beachy color palette make this blanket a lovely option for summer babies! While this stitch is gorgeous and super mindless, note that this is not a quick pattern. Because we are working hdc post stitches, the height of each row is closer to that of single crochet stitches, so budget your time wisely. The pattern is finished with my all-time favorite camel stitch border for a nice contrast. In fact, this entire blanket is worked in variations of the half double crochet: regular hdcs, front post hdcs, and hdc in the back third loop. It’s amazing how different the stitch looks when worked in different spots! I hope you enjoy this pattern!"
