I love learning new stitches and this Waffle Stitch is a good one for just about anything you would like to crochet. From dish or face cloths to hats and afghans. I like the idea of putting stitches together to make a new looking cloth. The link to teach you how to do this is very nice. I like that she took a picture of every row to show how it should look. There is also a link to show how to do the front post crochet stitch. This stitch pattern is one to remember. Thank you so much for sharing this how to and the links to patterns using it.

Is it possible to do this stitch with yarn that has a weight of 6? And which hook would be appropriate -- Q? TIA

Because it is so detailed, I think 4 is the standard. With bulky yarns, you would probably lose the detail unless you crochet tight. Might be worth experimenting with, though!

This stitch is gorgeous.
