Why you should work up a round crochet blanket pattern:
When you want to mix things up, you don't want to just think outside the box—you want to get rid of the box completely! Even though we tend to think of blankets as always rectangular (it's a classic design for a reason), you can add some drama to your crochet blanket style with a round shape.
These patterns really draw your eye to the central element, so it's a great way to show off a fun design. This round ripple blanket would look incredible on a bed, and it's an easy way to dress up your bedroom without having to head out to an expensive home store.
Plus, this is a popular trend right now, so working this up will keep your crocheting hip and up to date. This craft is becoming popular with nearly every age group, so getting started on this would be a great entry into the fabulous world of crochet.

I'm a big fan of ripples and chevrons. My grandmother and mother both used to make this type of afghan as a rug so I'm happy to find this pattern. I can update the look by using more modern colors and combinations to match our decor. Pinned this one to make!

I love the look of this pattern. The instructions are easy to follow. I have been meaning to make one of these so there is no excuse now. It would be a great stash buster as well. It will make a great afghan for the couch and also to add another detail over my bedspread plus be warm for the upcoming cold weather. Thank you.

This Beginner's Round Ripple is another simple round crochet design that can be done by a beginner. It is so delicately designed putting in its proper places the blues and the whites to create a neat, coordinated, simple but elegant living room piece. It's gonna be an interesting conversation piece among guests and the lady of the house.

This pattern is very beautiful. I really like the colors and the design! I have to confess that I think I'm going to have to work up to this. My skills have a ways to go. That's one of the things I like about the Allfree site-always something I can do now and something I can look forward to doing in the future! This one I will most definitely come back to in the future.

Great pattern. I started a blanket and it looks awesome. I have to say, ho were that there seems to be a typo in round 1. To get the 6 spikes, as depicted, you should repeat the (2 doc, ch2) 5 more times, rather than 4.

I have seen this pattern numerous times and thought how very pretty it was but never attempted making it. I think it's time I give it a try. But it won't be an afghan when I get done with it. I am using the colors but doing it in bulky yarn. My bathroom is done in blue and white so this will look just beautiful as a rug. Thank you for sharing.
