How do I crochet the treble stitch? Learn how today! This easy tutorial shows many images that will help you learn to crochet a treble stitch. Use this tutorial and then show others how to do this crochet stitch.

Steps:

  1. To start to make a row of treble crochet, first chain 3.
     
  2. Yarn over the hook 2 times. (3 loops on the hook.)
     
  3. Insert the hook into the next stitch.
     
  4. Hook onto the yarn.
     
  5. Pull through the stitch. (4 loops on the hook.)
     
  6. Hook onto the yarn.
     
  7. Pull through 2 loops. (3 loops remaining on the hook.)
     
  8. Hook onto the yarn.
     
  9. Pull through 2 loops. (2 loops remaining on the hook.


     
  10. Hook onto the yarn.
     
  11. Pull through the last 2 loops on the hook (1 loop remaining on the hook.) Repeat steps from 2 to 11 for each treble crochet.
     
  12. At the end of the row of treble crochet, chain 3.
     
  13. Turn the work to begin working on the next row.

    NOTE: Always insert the hook into the second stitch of the row, as the chain 3 is equivalent to the first treble crochet of the row. Photo 14.
