You inspire me a lot scoopercindy. I also want to do many versions of one design but I still have to choose among my collection. Here's the link to the pattern http//allthingsbrightandbeautifulcrafts.blogspot.c == om/2011/11/chevron-blanket.html.

I have made 3 of these blankets, working on the 4th. Make your own pattern of colors and how many lines you want of each. My favorite so far was mostly black (16 rows) off white (2 rows) gray (5 rows) and red (2 rows). It's stunning and perfect for a man. I've been using these colors in rotating patterns, one has been mostly off white while the other was mostly gray. The first one was mostly off white. Half way through I put a few rows of gold in the center then mirrored the color pattern, it helps when folding the afghan. I just love this pattern! Easy, mindless and quite warm.
