This is a nice warm blanket for a childs room. Soft like a teddy bear. This would also make a nice texture blanket for someone who has sensory needs. As another member mentioned, adding a regular yarn to work with double strand will make it a lot easier to find your stitches. I would use a light yarn though. A bulky yarn would take away from the eyelash yarns.

What a fun looking blanket! I cant wait to try this technique. Ive worked with fuzzy yarn before and found that it can be tricky because you can lose sight of where the strand actually is. Im betting that this idea of combining the fuzzy strand with the bulky weight yarn will make a huge difference and solve that issue. It will certainly make it a warmer blanket, Im sure. I think Ive found my next project.
