Red Velvet Crochet Granny Square

Nothing is more scrumptious than a red velvet cupcake, except maybe this gorgeous granny square pattern. The Red Velvet Crochet Granny Square look so good you'll want to eat it! A beautifully intricate V-stitch crochet pattern gives this square a one-of-a-kind depth. The cream's lacy tendrils circle around the crochet granny square like deliciously fluffy frosting. These rich colors are perfect for the winter months, especially for the holiday season!

This is a complex square with a lot of tails to weave in when you are finished, but it is worth it. It is a very nice square. The square is a bit thick in the center. My finished square is just under 7 inches, but I crochet fairly tight.

This will also look great in a brighter color or in pastel colors. Here's the link to the pattern http//priscillascrochet.net/free%20patterns/Afghan == %20Squares/Velvet%20and%20Lace%20Square.pdf.

Love this pattern, but got to round 9 and am not sure how to proceed after the asterisks. The next step says "work 2 sc in the next ch 2 sp". The next chain 2 space is way past where my hook is. The next ch sp on my square is a ch 3 sp, followed by a ch 5 sp, then ch 3, THEN a ch 2 sp. HELP?

I've made this pattern in the past...let me take a look at it and I will get back to you.

I would like to make this Red velvet granny square. Every time I click on the link for the instructions it comes right back to this page. Please help. I really want to make this afghan. Thank-you.
