I think I know how to do this Teen Ripple Afghan. The stitches are exactly the same as the ones I used in making the Christmas tree skirt I've just completed. I like the monochromatic color scheme used here. It is refreshing and very pleasant to the eyes. You have to think of an alternative monochromatic colors should you want to change the color of the afghan.
