Grecian Column Afghan

search

The Grecian Column Afghan gets its name from the way this simple crochet pattern is named. Crochet this afghan in columns and then sew the columns side-by-side to get this wonderful column and gingham effect. Using just three colors that go well together you can crochet these columns quite easily using just half double crochet.

The Grecian Column Afghan looks very masculine. Reminds me of dad's or grandpa's long sleeve polo shirts. Also reminds me of the huge columns seen among the Greek ruins like the Parthenon and other. Thanks for the free pattern.

I love that this afghan uses neutral tones and a timeless stripe pattern. Very classic.
