Orchid baby blanket. So named because it mimics the color of the real waling waling orchids with the same color, violet. If you've seen a real orchid flower, you'll know what I mean. I like the texture of the stitches used. It can also protect baby during cooler months. I can almost smell the fragrance of the orchids in this blanket. haha.

When I click on the pattern link it said no page found. How can I get the pattern?

Hi Nunu, Thanks for pointing this out! It appears the designer changed all the URLs on her page... I've gone ahead and fixed the link above to the correct one. :)

I am really looking forward to making this Orchid Crochet Baby blanket. I love the look of the stitches and it looks pretty easy for someone like me who has been crocheting since I was 14 but still only use a handful of the basic stitches. I also like the fact that this has 'holes' in the pattern, as I think it is important to not over heat a baby, especially in the warmer months. Great job!

I haven't made this one yet but I will! I love the look of this Orchid Crochet Baby Blanket Pattern. the x's and o's are so cute and the pattern is so well written and easy to understand it should come out great. I like that there is a video to help on how to do this one. This would make a good baby shower gift. Has anyone tired this one and if so how did it work out? Looking forward to trying to do this one for the newest Grand baby. Thank you so much for sharing this free crochet pattern.
