With winter fast approaching here in the southern hemisphere a lovely warm looking afghan like this one is a really good idea. And quick and simple too? Wow, the fairies really are looking after me, lol! Afghans are my absolute favorite winter thing and this one is going to not only look great in our family room but it is also going to be lovely to snuggle under on the sofa.

Wow! This IS easy!

I want to make this very simple afghan in one solid color. Here is the link to the pattern http//littlebirdiesecrets.blogspot.com/2009/01/qui == ck-and-simple-crocheted-afghan.html. The mustard color is so lovely. This can also be done beautifully in multicolored yarn.

i would like to try this. It says 8 skeins of yarn, I want to crochet using 2 strands of 2 different colors, so do i purchase 4 of one color and 4 of another for a total of 8 skeins???

I'm looking for the tutorial on changing colors or skeins. I believe it was called the russian method, given by a contributor named Jean Marie, an ex-military officer. Can you help me find it?

Google "Russian Yarn Join". It shows step by step how to do this. Looks pretty simple and strong. Hope this helps you out nancybyrn 8674254

This was easy, beautiful, warm and it worked up quickly. The yarn can be a little expensive. I purchased the yarn over several months using coupons.
