This Hearts Stripes Afghan looks so great and looks like it was a machine made afghan. I have not made it yet but have it on my to do list. I'm not a big fan of the cross stitch but will have to see how it looks without it. Not sure I'll do that part of the pattern. Otherwise, Love this one. Thank you for sharing this free afghan pattern.

Beautiful pattern. I personally would use an afghan needle and change colors as I moved back and forth across the pattern. I love using the afghan stitch and am presently making a beautiful afghan for charity.

I love this pattern, although I am nervous about the cross stitching. I'm concerned about getting the tension right.

I think it IS really sad when I see a pattern that like & when I try to print it first of all I have to go on a different web site & most of it turns out to be advertisement I waste time looking for the pattern & after wasting time & getting frustrated I end up without the pattern. Why can't we just print these patterns? VERY DISAPPOINTED !!!!!!

@Rmannion1tampabayrrcom, We suggest that you go to the page and highlight the text, then right-click on it. You'll get a window that gives you the option to "copy." Do that, and then paste the text into a word document. You should be able print that document that way. I hope this helps! --editors of AllFreeCrochetAfghanPatterns

All Free Crochet does a great job of bringing together a ton of free patterns for us. However, they don't own these patterns, that's why they link out to external web sites in most cases. We should support the people who do share their patterns with us for free by at least taking a peek at their advertisements. P.S. If you don't have a word processing program, you can also select just the text you need and then choose "selection only" when you print (in most web browsers).

Also, to add to Jenny Bee's Jan 2012 reply - after you copy and paste the text, you can click on the beginning picture, select copy and then paste it into your instructions. The same with the ending diagram of the cross stitch directions. I works great. Just did it in fact. I didn't mind the ads, but I didn't want to download the 'toolbar' that came along with the pattern.
