This Stunning Popcorn Ripple Crochet Afghan is just beautiful! I think this would make a great wedding gift. I read the pattern and have saved this one for when I have more time to really stop and re-read the pattern. I think it will come out great if you follow the pattern and just do step by step or stitch by stitch. I love ripples and the popcorn stitch, the two together will be great!! Thank you so much for sharing this free crochet pattern.

This looks complicated to make. Anyway there are probably the advanced crocheters who would like to do this project. Here's the link to the pattern http//

I was having trouble with the instructions. In the first row the 3 dc cl in the 4th, 5th and 6th ch, is it 1 dc in each one and then pull from 4 loops or do you do 3 dc cl in each chain 3 times?

I am having a bit of trouble understanding the beginning of the pattern. I chained the 173, then on the instructions it says o 3 dc cl over 4th, 5th, and 6th ch from hook. What do I do in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd stitch of the foundation row of chains? Do I just skip 1,2,and 3 and start in the 4th ch, or do I just dc in 1, 2, and 3?

why can't print this pattern

I am in the middle of crocheting this pattern and now I can't access it anymore...can anybody help me... == /Stunning-Popcorn-Ripple-Crochet-Afghan == l

Made this afghan twice--both are gorgeous & "rich" looking.

I used this pattern 5 times. One as a way to use up leftover yarns. Once with "Caron Simply Soft" and a couple times as throws from "thrift store yarns". I used baby yarn once and it turned out fabulous! Don't be afraid to put your own twist on the pattern. I'm so glad I found this pattern! Patti R Seattle, wa

I made this afghan with 3 different colors, Aran, coffee & camel. Alterating every 6 rows. What a great response! I had so much fun making it. Greatest challenge and victory! Enjoy

I made this Afghan and it is BEAUTIFUL,,I made it in the soft white Red Heart yarn..I had no problem with directions,,Ive been crocheting since I was 15 and Im now 74,,I have Arthritis in my hands and find crocheting a very good exercise and I crochet every day...I learned to do the Popcorn stitch when I was 17.

We want to know: When did you learn the popcorn stitch? Leave a comment and let us know!

I learned the popcorn stitch 34 yrs. ago , when I was 26

I actually just learned how to do the popcorn stitch last week & i've been crocheting since i was about 17 now im 34

I figured this out...the 5 dc cl is a five stitch traditional DECREASE. Once I figured it out the afghan sample I crocheted is gorgeous.

Has anyone tried to work this? This pattern instruction does not work. There is no decrease worked so you don't get the zig-zag. Just a bunch of peaks with no valleys. I even blew up the photo, but I can't make sense of the pattern. Too's a gorgeous look.
