I would like to make this blanket did the pattern ever get corrected. Thank you, Cheryl

I have searched for a corrected pattern, and I did a search for "Granny Spike Afghan". I still cannot find a corrected version. Is there a youtube video of this pattern? If there is not could someone make one please? I loved the afghan, but I am new to crochet and I need more specifics.

Does anyone know if the written pattern has been fixed yet? I'm not so good a graphs but would love to make this

Hi. The closest correction we've found is the one that "lket" wrote right below. We apologize for the inconvenience. -Krista, Editor

This pattern is still wrong. It does not include the downward points. Without the chart it would be impossible to make this using these written instructions. The poster forgot to omit the ch 3 between the 2 dc on the downward points. For those wanting to use the written instructions Your downward points are made by working 2 dc, sk 3 ch, 2 dc, with no chain stitches between them for the first row. For following rows, work 2 dc, sk over the 2 sets of dc, 2 dc in next chain space. Do not make any chains between these. I hope this helps.

The repeats between the points are also incorrect in the written instructions for row 3, because of the mistake in row 1.

Hi! Thank you so much for the feedback. This pattern has not been tested by our team and as far as I can tell, was copied exactly as it is shown on the Premier Yarn site. They must have not noticed the error yet as there is no correction available. I appreciate you letting readers know the problem. -Krista, Editor Here is the original pattern: https://www.premieryarns.com/products/deborah-norville-aubergine-ripple-throw-free-download

FYI: The pattern has been updated with the missing diagram. We apologize for the inconvenience. -Krista, Editor

The Perfectly Purple Ripple throw is anything but perfect. The pattern is off. Has this pattern been corrected yet? If so, please e-mail me corrections. Does not begin and end going in same direction of Ripple on each side. Directions unclear. I have been crocheting for55 years and this is the worst pattern ever to follow.

https//www.premieryarns.com/product/deborahnorvill == eaubergineripplethrowfreedownload.do?sortby=ourPic == ksfrom=Search#customerReviews I was having a problem with this pattern on row 3 4 also. Found the link on Premier Yarns site that shows diagram. Make the directions much easier to understand. Looking forward to making this

Where can I get the chart for this pattern, I cannot for the life of me make heads or tails out of this written pattern.

Hi hmsutton, This pattern is posted exactly the same way as it is available on the Premier website, and their free pattern does not include a chart. My advice to you would be to either contact Premier's customer service or to post a question on our Facebook page (facebook.com/allfreecrochetafghanpatterns) to see if anyone else has any experience with this pattern. Thank you, and I hope that helps! Julia, editor for AllFreeCrochetAfghanPatterns

I said earlier that I would figure this out and I have. A friend found a pattern on a different site and it actually works out to look like the afghan shown here. I could not get these instructions to look right as it was too holy and not shaping up right. It's called the Granny Spike Afghan. Pic 1 shows "Yours" using the directions on this page. Pic 2 shows "Mine" using directions on another page, which is the one I'll be using to make this beautiful afghan. I am not sure it's ok to name the other site, but I'm sure it can be found with a search.

I sent an email to premieryarns about the problems I was having with this pattern. they were very helpful and quick to reply. They sent me a graph showing the pattern which I think will solve the problem I have been having. It would be nice if the graph were included here with the pattern. If you wish to make this afghan and have problems deciphering the pattern I would advise going to their website and contacting them with your questions.

I have started this too many times and frogged it every time until this last one. I still may frog again because the sides aren't straight and I cant figure out how to make them go straight up. Had all five colors on twice the last time I frogged it and have all five on once so far this time. Getting a lot of practice with chains and double crochet not to mention how to rip out and roll up the yarn. Really like the looks of this Afghan, wish the instructions were a little more clear!

I agree in that this is a beautiful piece, I would love to make it, but the directions need more details. I tried a few different possible ways they might have meant, but nothing came out right. Maybe it's just me.

I am going to keep trying this on a practice swatch until I get it right. I let you know how that works out.

This such a beautiful afghan and I am anxious to make it. But I am stumped at row 3! Can anyone help me? Actually, finishing row 2 seemed a little dicey too. So any clarity of the pattern would be much appreciated!

Agreed, after attempting, I made a smaller swatch and just followed as I thought it read to see how it would look, but after row 4 the edge was uneven. If there was a bigger picture I might be able to figure out. Who is the designer of this pattern? Can some one assist please?

I agree with Mrs. Nesbitt---but maybe stalagmites.

You're totally right!

This is just STUNNING! Reminds me of stalactites in a cave. Adding this to my pattern inbox to make later!
