Why AFCAP Loves This Pattern

Our obsession with this pattern starts with the bold and vibrant colors that were chosen for this crochet blanket, a nice mix of soft pastels and punchier, brighter colors make this finished piece a delight. Beyond the gorgeous rainbow effect, though, we are absolutely loving the crochet ripple pattern throughout. Set off by alternative fan stitch rows, this ripple-ghan is the perfect mix of light and airy, and comfy and cozy. The crochet ripple pattern throughout this afghan adds to the whimsical feeling that the rainbow colors provide. Plus, this blanket can easily made in two colors for a more subtle effect - try choosing one color for the shells and then set those off with a different color for the ripple rows. By switching up the colors, this crochet pattern can be used for a child's nursery or as a decorative throw in your living room.

Gorgeous fan blanket for any bed. Fan pattern stitch can be used to make bed runner, valance, placemats, etc. once the stitch has been learned.

This is Winks' pattern, please give her the credit due.

I'm not a beginner, this is one of the most confusing patterns that I have tried to read. I know there is an easier way to do the ripple pattern and you certainly have taken the most confusing way of accomplishing this pattern.
