This is a very pretty picture afghan. I know it seems really complicated but the basic motif is really easy to make so the advanced part comes in when it is time to assemble the finished project. When it comes to making something that will be a family heirloom, this one is at the top of the charts.

So I have found a new crochet technique that I am really excited about. Picture afghans are really cool. I know how much work is involved in sewing all the little motifs or granny squares together but if that is the hardest part, it really is not hard at all.

I like the over all effect of this pattern but I don't know it I would make it. The squares are simple enough to make but the sewing together of all those squares can be really tedious. It is an unusual pattern though. Thank you for posting it.

The link to this pattern takes me to instructions that are obscured by charts for this patteren. The moms love crochet site has a link to print it that doesn't work either. Hope you can help it looks like an awesome project.

I tried to copy this pattern. The picture was a tiny thumbnail, and the chart won't copy. Can you fix this problem? Thanks.

I copied the thumbnail and pasted it into Microsoft word. Then hightlighted it and enlarged it to be printed. Also saved it.
