I tried this granny square pattern and it isnt turning out like its supposed to. Is there a tutorial for this to help me figure it out? I love it and would like to master it! Thanks Annette

This pattern doesn't only not say how many squares, but does not tell size of afghan or what kind of yarn to use.

Thats because it isnt a pattern for an afghan silly, just a granny square, which you can make a bunch of to turn it into an afghan if you wish. Thus the name "granny square" lol

I love this square!! But it doesn't say how many squares needed for afghan.

The number of squares for an afghan would depend on the size of the finished square. For example; if the finished square was 12" then to make a nice sized afghan I would use 5x6 or 6x7, it just depends on how big you want your afghan to be. Roger Owner of Afghans Etc. For Charity
