Crochet Sand Stitch Afghan
"I finally finished my Crochet Sand Stitch Afghan. It’s larger than a throw and fits a twin size bed. I used Bernat® Home Bundle™, a bulky yarn that combines different colors and textures. I picked up the yarn at Joann’s, but Bernat® Blanket™ is a good substitute. The yarn makes a super soft and cuddly afghan and works up quickly. I made it for my daughter as a gift, but everyone in the house wants one!"

Had I not clicked into the pattern I really would have missed a gem. This is an easy afghan and because you will use blanket yarn it will not take very long to complete. I am really surprised at the texture you get with the sand stitch. This is a really neat afghan.

Now is the time to begin making list for this years Christmas gifts and this is a perfect one to add. The materials and stitch needed to make this is perfect because the item works up really quickly. Because the finished item is the perfect size for a twin bed this is a great gift for those college bound or little ones just moving into a twin from a crib in colors that they will adore.

I love the look and sound of this Crochet Sand Stitch Afghan. I have never used the Super Bulky Yarn before and this pattern would be a great first try. For the written pattern is very easy to follow and understand. I need to by the yarn and the L hook, I thought I had every hook size until I needed the L. I just hope JoAnns' has it. Thank you so much for sharing this free crochet pattern.

I really love the look of this sand stitch afghan, and it looks fairly simple to make. The stitches look really nice and though the cream is a great color for this, I can imagine the different colors that could be used to make this and how lovely and cosy it would be.
