Strong Tower Square

Strong Tower Square

The Strong Tower Square is a sturdy and powerful crochet granny square. The crochet puff stitch works really well with this design because of the thickness of the stitches, which play off each other to make the rows truly look as though they are building a structure. It also looks as though there is a gurgling fountain surrounded by walls—it's a very dynamic piece that certainly brings to mind architecture no matter how you look at it. The pattern includes a devotional which elaborates on the imagery of a strong tower and its relationship to divine love.
