English Rose Granny Square Crochet Pattern
English Rose Granny Square Crochet Pattern

Any room in your house will be more elegant and colorful when decorated with the English Rose Granny Square Crochet Pattern. Each granny square has its own 3D rose blooming out of it. With the colors of the roses, you can go for a classic and subtle look with either white or deep red, or you can go for bright colors as shown in the picture.

We love the fresh idea of these gorgeous crochet roses that are bursting for your attention and for compliments. You won't have to prune these flowers, so they'll last a lifetime.

NotesNOTE: To get the rose part of this pattern, you will need to click on the "my tutorial" part of the first sentence on the Cypress Textiles page: "This pattern is an adaptation of my tutorial on the beautiful Babouska Rose blanket."

This is very similar to one published in the 1980s in a granny square magazine I have in storage. Made one myself. Am sure a little research would turn it up. Not hard to do as I remember

The pattern for the rose itself isn't there because the rose is not the bloggers pattern and she doesn't have permission to publish it. That is on her blog site. I went through a link roundabout quite a few times before I spotted it. This is a scam by the blogger for more hits.

Where is this pattern? I'm following link after chatty, gabby link, with no useful information. You should really make sure there is an actual pattern available, not just a lot of pictures and gabbling. Bad job.

This is pretty, but to get the pattern it is a scavenger hunt, with no links i could see. Why do you list patterns like this?

Wow. This is definitely a work of art. So beautiful, fit for a queen! The background deep blue color can also be changed to a lighter color if you want. Gorgeous afghan!

This is beautiful. Someone has a lot of talent and a true gift to be able to design such an exquisite afghan. I have been looking for pattern just like this for my Mom. She loves roses and she will be overjoyed when I surprise her with one of the treasures.

I agree with several of the other posters. I went to the link under the yarn requirements and all I could find was instructions for putting the squares together. She even states, have all of your squares ready. Would love to make this afghan, but locating the pattern is unfortunately not easy.

nice pattern

I love the look of the 3D roses on this pattern.

I've tried all the links posted here, they either don't work or lead to the blog that gives only the edging pattern. very disappointed

Hello! At the beginning of her tutorial, she has a link to her rose afghan. You can find that here: https://babylovebrand.net/2013/05/20/tutorial-babouska-rose-blanket/. I hope this helps. Thanks, Krista, Editor

Does it have to be so difficult? How about a nice, written pattern from start to finish. Roses included. I don't have all day to search for it.

this would be great if it were the directions for the roses. but alas it is only how to border them after you already have the roses

What a stunning afghan pattern. I believe this would make an amazing wedding gift, with the roses made in the couple's favourite colours. It would most definitely end up as a treasured family heirloom. For those having difficulty finding the actual pattern for the rose, it is at the top of the article, which is in the link above on this page. It seems that the pattern is in sections, but they are all there!

It is very annoying to see so many people searching ,for this Pattern and it is not to be found.....?

Hi Sheerwater, Simply click on "Click here for free crochet pattern" above, below the Intermediate image and the yarn weight. You'll be taken to the blogger's blog where you can scroll through her pattern for the crochet granny square. Thanks! Julia, editor for AllFreeCrochetAfghanPatterns

I can't find the pattern for the squares. It's beautiful but, I am so frustrated....Please repost this correctly.

Would love to make this lovely afghan. Where's the pattern for the rose squares?

Here's the link to the pattern https//cypresstextiles.net/2014/06/03/rose-granny- == square-free-pattern/. Lucky we have the pattern right on the same page so we can try this very elegant vintage afghan. The roses are so intricate and will take a long time to make.

ALL FREE CROCHET SHOULD SEE IF THE PATTERNS ARE COMPLE BEFORE POSTING. THE ROSE IS MISSING. HELLO!

does anyone know the pattern? The link that was posted below are for basic colours. I was hoping that someone would put the ones with all the beautiful colours.

Maybe I'm missing something, but this link is only for directions on how to join the roses in to a blanket. There are no directions for making the roses. The links within the post go to a blog documenting a crocheter's work and some tips as well as a chart for the rose with a different square join, but no written directions.

There is a link to the original tutorial to make the roses in the pattern http//babylovebrand.net/2013/05/20/tutorial-babous == ka-rose-blanket/

I followed all the links including the address above in your reply, there is no pattern, just pictures and gabbling. Where is the actual rose pattern?
