Yes, why not. This is an easy project for beginners. The children will enjoy doing this because of the simple design and simple stitches. They will also treasure this as they grow up and be proud of it. Proud for finishing such kind of frown up project.

I know it says it is a childs blanket, but it is also a great blanket to have handy for cozy nights on the couch with your favorite book. Heartland is a nice soft yarn, so this blanket would be really comfortable. With all of the colour changes and stitch variations I wouldnt say this pattern is good for a beginner, but it is easy to follow.

I would love to make this for my friend Tom!

Great pattern for a great charity and you can adjust the size if you want to make it for an adult.
