Afghans for Soldiers is an organization that crochets afghans for wounded warriors, in honor of those serving in the Military. They also make crochet or knit afghans for children who spend lots of time in the hospital. They also accept donations of all types, including yarn and other supplies.

I love to crochet Over the past few years my and my husband have been living on fixed incomes because of disabilities which have become more and more difficult to live with as we age However I love to create things with crochet and would love to get involved in the wounded warrior project or crocheting for our military i don't have the extra money to purchase the yarn or supplies i would need for some projects I've seen that a military person could get a feel of cherishment and love from who cares about them and the sacrifices they are making on my behalf Now the question is there any organization that is willing to send yarn and patterns for specific needs at no cost to me I'm willing to do the work and make the projects for our military men and women I don't have access to extra money…Read More to do so Can anyone help me out to help out our Military men and Women who willingly serve this GREAT NATION Thank You

I am so happy that I came across this. I received one of these blankets when my husband got burned and was in BAMC/SAMCC. I will be getting busy making these!
