First off, everything from Momsoflove website was stolen out of Magazines and leaflets that are no longer in circulation but are still copyrighted protected. Secondly, if you're having troubles with the beginning chain add extras so that you come out correctly to begin the following row.

Help, I can't chain 105 stitches and end up with 103 after I stitch in the 4th chain from hook. Please advise. I end up with 101 stitches and then everything else is off.
